CKLA Trick Word Cards

These CKLA-themed Uno cards are a fun, flexible, and engaging way to reinforce early literacy and phonics skills taught in the Kindergarten CKLA (Core Knowledge Language Arts) program. Designed for small groups, centers, or whole-class review, the cards can be used to play Uno, Go Fish, Memory, or Spoons, giving students repeated, playful exposure to key sounds, letters, and words.

  • Go Fish: Ask for matching words to build sets.
  • Memory: Flip and match pairs of words to build recognition.
  • Spoons: Grab a spoon when you get four of a kind—great for fast-paced review!

*Differentiate: Adjust the level by using only a subset of cards or mixing review from previous units.
